Role Description

We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager whose brain races at the thought of owning Bus.com’s organic strategy and performance. This position reports to the Head of Marketing who will provide the SEO Manager with direction and autonomy to achieve organic growth and business objectives. The goal is simple: deliver qualified traffic to the business at scale (we’re talking orders of magnitude) by leveraging dynamic content, backlinking, on page content, meta descriptions, and experimentation. You will need to rank on the first page of Google’s SERP for identified keywords within 6 months of starting and you will have the support to accomplish this.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5+ years of experience managing SEO and Organic channels for organizations with 20M+ in ARR (ecommerce, agency, or startup experience preferred).
  2. Passionate about understanding how search engines work, existing organic trends, and creating site experiences and content that are optimized for organic traffic.
  3. Work cross-functionally with internal teams to create and implement actionable, scalable SEO improvements across all of Bus.com.
  4. Strategy, development, and execution of organic campaigns, scholarships, backlinking campaigns – all with a geographical mindset.
  5. Experience working with and writing product specifications for developers.

Responsibilities

  1. Grow organic channels at Bus.com
  2. Review keyword research to identify new opportunities for SEO growth
  3. Identify, develop, and implement creative backlinking campaigns
  4. Track KPIs and create reports and dashboards that directly translate to business metrics
  5. Build and monitor competitor organic data

First Week

  • Onboard and integrate into Bus.com.
  • Familiarize yourself with current and past SEO strategies and tactics.
  • Dive into the roadmap and the biggest opportunities to focus on for improvement.

First Month

  • Learn the details related to existing SEO and technology stacks.
  • Connect with the teams you will work closely with, understand how you will work together to drive successful outcomes of your initiatives
  • Finalize your roadmap

First 3 Months

  • Lead the efforts to fully execute your first strategic projects.

First 6 months

  • Scale your roadmap, build reports, and demonstrate results.
